Undergraduate Programs

In addition to completing a 45-credit core liberal-arts curriculum, all business students will complete 36 credits of core business courses, an additional 24 to 42 credits of specialized study in their major, and up to nine credits of business electives. (Actual credit hours vary by major.)

Accounting
Accounting is an excellent career for students with good math abilities, strong computer skills, and the ability to analyze and present complex financial information. Computer Management Information Systems (CMIS)
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, computer and information systems management is one of the nation’s hottest occupations. The CMIS major at Holy Family University prepares you to oversee a broad array of computer resources and technology issues for organizations of all sizes. Our graduates have secured jobs in the areas of software and hardware installation, programming and systems design, network design and maintenance, systems analysis, database management, Internet and intranet planning, and more.

For a CMIS major, specialized course work will include database management, systems analysis and design, operations management, and structured programming. Within your area of concentration, you may choose electives in Web design, information security, programming, and more.

Digital Forensics
The field of Digital Forensics is thriving, both regionally and nationally, because of the ever increasing threats to national security and information systems. It is no longer adequate to provide a defense against these attacks. The sources of cyber attacks must be identified and eliminated. Digital Forensics plays a major role in achieving this goal.

Students completing the Digital Forensics Program will be prepared to enter the field of Digital Forensics in a public or private environment as computer crime investigators, computer crime analysts, Digital Forensics investigators, Digital Forensics technicians, Digital Forensics analysts, Internet security technicians, Internet security analysts, and database security investigators. Individuals currently working in this or a related field will also be able to substantially enhance their knowledge and skills.

Finance
The finance program at Holy Family University is an excellent choice for students considering a career in banking, insurance, corporate finance, or professional investment advising. In addition to helping you develop analytical skills, our program promotes understanding of the latest financial analysis methods and technology, with emphasis on a global business perspective and standards of social responsibility for the profession.

Fire Science and Public Safety Administration
The fire science and public safety administration major at Holy Family University is designed for transfer students with at least 27 credits in the field. Our curriculum prepares you for leadership positions in fire service and prevention, emergency management, and public safety.
