TIPS Alcohol Education Workshop
The Counseling Center, in collaboration with Residence Life, offers the Training
for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) for University program to faculty, staff,
and students. This is a half-day, alcohol education training program
available to any interested members of the Holy Family University community.
Residence Life professionals (directors, assistant directors, and RAs) are
mandated to attend the TIPS trainings scheduled prior to the start of each
semester.
Students found in violation of Holy
Family University’s alcohol policy (page 46) are mandated to
attend this training in order to continue in their academic and/or athletic
programs, and in some cases, to maintain their resident student status.
Other faculty, staff, and students may attend the TIPS for University training
at their request. Dates for open-campus TIPS workshops are posted on
the Counseling Center Workshops Web page. Pre-registration
is required for attendance.
All workshop participants become TIPS certified for three years.
Please visit the TIPS site for
a program overview and additional information regarding the benefits of this
program for University members and the community as a whole.
