Parking
The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is located at South Broad and Spruce Streets on the Avenue of the Arts. The entrance to the Kimmel Center Parking Garage is located just south of the Broad Street entrance to the Kimmel Center and can be accessed only by vehicles traveling south on Broad Street.
Guests in wheelchairs or using canes or walkers as well as any guest of any age needing special assistance to enter the Kimmel Center can be dropped off right in front of the main entrance to the Kimmel Center on South Broad Street. After drop off, vehicles must leave the drop off zone and proceed to parking on the street or in nearby parking lots or garages.
There are numerous parking garages and lots within a short walking distance of the Kimmel Center. Visit the Kimmel Center website for a map showing all nearby parking garages and lots. Weekend parking rates vary between $10 and $15 for the period of time expected for the commencement ceremony.
The Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) operates off-street parking
lots and garages throughout the city. For more information
on specific locations nears the Kimmel Center visit the PPA
website.
There are less expensive lots if you don’t mind a short walk to
the Kimmel Center. Check out Philapark.org online
which lets you pop in a destination and points you to public
parking, with rates provided. Also try Philly.bestparking.com which
offers a map with icons that show how much each garage costs
for exact days/hours. Keep in mind that rates
do change frequently.
