Exchange Visitor Program

Holy Family University, a ministry of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth founded in 1954, offers education in the liberal arts and professions through undergraduate, graduate and non-degree and certification programs. It is a fully accredited Catholic, private co-educational institution. Holy Family is a comprehensive residential four-year institution with its main campus located in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Exchange Visitor ProgramHoly Family enrolls more than 2,200 undergraduate students and over 1,100 in graduate degree programs, and offers more than 45 programs in the schools of Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Education, and Nursing & Allied Health Professions. Continuing education and accelerated undergraduate and graduate degree programs for working adults and non-traditional students are offered through the Division of Extended Learning.

Holy Family University is authorized by the United States Department of State to be a sponsoring institution for the Exchange Visitor Program. Holy Family University solicits applications for exchange visitors in the following Exchange Visitor Program categories (Student, Professor, Research Scholar, Short Term Scholar) and also responds to all inquiries and unsolicited applications. Those admitted or selected, are eligible to apply for a J-1 visa and dependents of J-1 visa holders are eligible to apply for the J-2 visa.

Exchange Visitor ProgramHoly Family is currently involved in formal exchange programs and/or partnerships with universities in China, Chile, Puerto Rico, Poland and the Philippines. Other agreements are being discussed with additional institutions in Poland, South Korea and the Philippines.

In recent years, Holy Family has employed foreign nationals from China and Argentina as faculty members using the H1-B visa. In addition to the J-1 and J-2 visas, students are eligible to apply for an F-1 visa.
